Pune: The District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune was inaugurated with a strong emphasis on nurturing young minds into responsible scientists and engineers

Highlighting the importance of experiential learning, Gajanan Patil, Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad, noted that such exhibitions provide a critical platform for students – especially from Zilla Parishad schools – to showcase innovative science projects, strengthen problem-solving skills, and explore career pathways in science and technology.

District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune Promotes Scientific Temperament

The District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune, now in its 53rd edition, was organised jointly by the Education Department of Zilla Parishad Pune, Pune District Headmasters’ Association, Science Teachers’ Association Pune, and G H Raisoni Public School, Pune.

The exhibition aims to encourage scientific temperament, innovation, and originality among school students across the district.

The inauguration was attended by several distinguished education leaders, including Dr Bhausaheb Karekar, Education Officer, Zilla Parishad Pune; Sanjay Naikade, Education Officer, Zilla Parishad Pune; Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Vice Chancellor, GH Raisoni Skill Tech University, Pune; and Dr. H. R. Kulkarni, Director, GHRCACS, Pune.

Other attendees included Dr. Praveen Jangade, Deputy Director, GHRCACS Pune; Amita Singh, Marketing Head, Raisoni Education Pune; Principal Divena Shardul; Rohidas Elad, President, Science Teachers’ Association Pune District; Rajendra Malusare, Deputy Education Officer, Zilla Parishad Pune; and Shivaji Kamte, Secretary, Pune District Headmasters’ Association.

District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune Highlights Student Potential

Speaking at the event, CEO Gajanan Patil stated that science projects presented by students at district and national levels demonstrate the strong potential of primary and secondary school students to excel in science education.

He stressed the importance of transparency and originality in student projects and underlined the need for sustained encouragement to support Zilla Parishad students’ academic and career journeys.

Patil also shared that science parks are being developed in Baramati and Alandi, with future editions of the District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune planned to be hosted at these locations to further ignite scientific curiosity.

He highlighted that ZP students are reaching international platforms, including NASA, reinforcing the belief that dedicated effort can lead to global success.

Recognition of Student Achievements at District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune

During the event, Gajanan Patil congratulated Khed Taluka ZP school student Deepak Sunil Pardhi for winning gold medals in archery at the national level, calling it a proud moment for Zilla Parishad schools.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar emphasised that innovation and technology must translate into practical, real-world solutions, especially for developing nations. He highlighted the role of science-based projects in national development and appreciated Raisoni Education’s commitment to promoting science education, creativity, and holistic student development.

408 Projects Showcased at District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune

Dr Bhausaheb Karekar praised the three-day District Level Bal Science Exhibition Pune, describing it as a powerful platform for nurturing innovation.

A total of 408 projects were showcased, of which 60 projects by Zilla Parishad school students were selected for national-level competitions and progression to the state-level exhibition.
